Adirondack Film – March thru June 2023
If you’re looking for an entertainment experience that will really move you, then join us on the third Friday of every month at 7 PM! Our Lake Placid Film Festival is a great way to bring our community together and ignite conversations. And just in time to wrap up this year’s presentation – we’ve compiled some awesome shorts into one entertaining package: ‘Our Best Shorts are Showing’. Come celebrate cinema with us – it’s gonna be good!
Met Live On-Screen: Lohengrin – March 18, 2023
After a 17-year absence, Wagner’s epic masterpiece returns to the Met in all its majestic glory! Under the inspired direction of François Girard and led by Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin on podium duty, this thrilling production features an astonishing cast – Piotr Beczała as Lohengrin, Tamara Wilson as Elsa, Christine Goerke as Ortrud and more. Fly Fishing Film Tour – March 25, 2023
Get ready to cast a line of fun at the 2023 Fly Fishing Film Tour! Starting on March 2nd, this one-of-a kind experience will be making its way around the world. Whether you’re an avid fly fisher or simply looking for a good time with friends and some great films, F3T offers something special — an opportunity to connect with fishing communities across big cities and small towns alike as we celebrate our love for fishy folk everywhere. So grab your reel (and maybe even win some giveaways!) because it’s sure to make waves!
LUNAFEST – March 30, 2023
Celebrate the incredible women and gender nonconforming individuals in our community with Zonta Club of the Adirondacks’ LUNAFEST®! This program brings together seven thought-provoking short films to empower viewers through an exploration of resilience, strength, and connection. Join us for 95 minutes of inspiring stories that will leave all ages 13 & up feeling uplifted.
Classes & Camps
Get creative and have fun no matter your age at the LPCA! With in-person and online classes for students of all ages, you’ll be sure to uncover a passion that expresses who you are. Try out pottery wheels, experiment with hula hoops or paint beautiful masterpieces – the possibilities are endless when it comes to unlocking your creativity.
