High Peaks Farmers’ Market
Fresh local foods, handcrafted goods, and Adirondack-made products will return to downtown Lake Placid this summer as the High Peaks Farmers Markets launches its seasonal Lake Placid Farmers’ Market beginning July 1.
The market will be held every Wednesday from July 1 through September 2 at the James C. Sheffield Speed Skating Oval in downtown Lake Placid. Market hours are scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will feature a variety of local farmers, bakers, artisans, and producers offering fresh produce, meats, cheeses, baked goods, flowers, coffee, skincare products, and handmade crafts.
Organizers say the market is “producer-only,” meaning vendors sell products they grow, raise, or make themselves, helping support local farms and small businesses throughout the Adirondack region. Visitors can also enjoy live music and family-friendly programming while shopping in the heart of the village.
Community members are reminded that dogs are not permitted at the Lake Placid market due to venue regulations at The Oval. There will also be no market held on July 15 because of Ironman event preparations.
