The Lake Placid Ice Dance Championships & International returns to the Olympic Center July 26-30, 2026, welcoming talented ice dancers from across the United States and around the world to one of the sport’s most historic events.
Hosted by the New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) and sanctioned by U.S. Figure Skating through the Skating Club of Lake Placid, the championships are part of U.S. Figure Skating’s National Qualifying Series and Solo Dance Series. The Lake Placid Ice Dance International is also recognized on the International Skating Union (ISU) calendar.
Known as the oldest ice dance competition in the world, the event features couples and solo dance competitions across a wide range of competitive levels, including international events for advanced novice, junior and senior athletes.
Competition begins the afternoon of Monday, July 27, with events continuing through Thursday, July 30. Spectators are invited to experience the excitement of world-class ice dance in the historic Olympic Center.
