Lake Placid will once again host its annual Fourth of July celebration on Saturday, July 4, 2026, featuring a full lineup of community events under this year’s theme, “Rings of Independence: Celebrating 250 Years and Lake Placid’s Legacy.”

Festivities begin with an 11:12 a.m. flyover by the Vermont National Guard, followed by live music in Mid’s Park from 1 to 4 p.m. featuring the All Night Boogie Band. The popular Independence Day Parade steps off at 5 p.m. down Main Street and will include local organizations, floats, and appearances by local Olympians.

The celebration continues into the evening with additional activities, including skating at the Olympic Oval, before the night concludes with the “Set the Night to Music” fireworks spectacular over Mirror Lake at 9:30 p.m.

All events are free and open to the public, drawing residents and visitors to experience one of the Adirondacks’ most iconic holiday celebrations.
