Lake Placid Horse Show

Site of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympic Games, Lake Placid is home to two of the nation’s most prestigious equine masterpieces – the Lake Placid and I Love New York Horse Shows. See world class riders and horses participate in championship Hunter and Jumper competition and watch as they win almost $550,000 in prize money and awards!

Action begins each show day at 7:30 a.m. with classes running simultaneously in four separate rings until approximately 5:00 PM. Come for an hour or a whole day and see competition ranging from ponies ridden by tomorrow’s champions to members of the U.S. Equestrian Team atop some of the world’s best horses.

Admission: $2 weekdays, $5 weekend days
Children under the age of 12 are admitted free.
Discounts for groups of 20 or more.

For a behind the scenes look at the shows, guided walking tours are offered each Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, at 11:30 AM. Meet at the LPHS retail booth. Expect the tour to last approximately 1 hour.

Daily admission tickets may be purchased at the entrance gate. Call the Horse Show office at (518) 523-9625 for more information. Purchasing tickets in advance is not necessary. There is plenty of general seating available.
