Saranac Inn Golf & Country Club

Though the Scottish layout remains as its designers originally intended, playing conditions have improved considerably since the course was built in 1901. With bent grass greens and a fully automated irrigation system, the course is more enjoyable than ever before. It is of championship caliber and one of the best holes in the Adirondacks.

The classic Scottish design of the course offers great variety, with a mix of long, medium and short par 3’s, 4’s and 5’s. The fast and true bent grass greens give you a chance to sink some putts…but don’t get too complacent, each green is different and unique. Some greens are flat and there are large undulating ones, too. Be ready for the greens with false fronts and that heart-stopper three tier green on 9. The ninth has been described as a wave that can putt out from under your feet. The Saranac Inn Golf Course is for all you golfers who know that golf is a love/hate relationship. Some holes you’ll love, some you’ll hate, but there will be no forgetting the great golf and fantastic fun. “It is a course that doesn’t do ambivalence and it doesn’t do cookie cutter.” It’s also a course you’ll play and want to come back to again and again.
