Located in downtown Lake Placid just across the street from the Lake Placid Club Lodges property, the very popular Lake Placid Public Beach is picturesque and lots of fun. Situated on the south end of Mirror Lake, there is a large swimming area with multiple diving platforms, a pier from which to launch canoes or kayaks, a changing facility, adjoining tennis courts and playground, and a surrounding large grass lawn perfect for picnics and casual play.

If you’re here for the Fourth of July, watch fireworks cascading over Mirror Lake from the beach. If you’re here later in July enjoy easy access to the two-loop swim, the starting leg of the iconic IRONMAN Lake Placid triathlon, the longest running IRONMAN event in North America.
